Red plaid nails

Hi!
Today's post is a nail art post! I feel like it's been a while. I don't have enough time to do complicated nail art these days. So I chose to do something really simple and cute: plaid nails. I used a dark reddish-pink from Gosh (the picture makes it look redder than it actually is) for the base color. then I used a brush and dark grey polish (818 from Kiko) to create thick lines in a checkered pattern. I tried to not make them completely opaque to really get that plaid effect. Then I did a really thin black line near every grey line. And I finished it off with some silver (with a striper from Primark). The silver part is optional but I thought that it looked a bit dull without it. I think it looks a bit christmas-y with the silver and that was not originally intended but it's never too soon to think about Christmas right?
I hope you like this nail art and wish you an awesome day,

Black tree nail art

Hello,
Today's nail art is cute and delicate. It's a black tree silhouette over a green and yellow gradient. I think the colors are quite spring-y but you could use orange and red if you wanted to make it more fall themed. The polishes I used are HEMA 443 (light yellow for the base) and 731 (turquoise) and a bright yellow by Kelly Brook. This nail art is one of the hardest I have ever made because I had to be really precise and keep my lines thin. And it took me a whole lot of time. But I didn't mind because I was watching Suits season 2. Do you also do nail art while watching movies/listening to music? or do you stay concentrated on the task at hand?
I hope you like this nail art and I wish you a very nice day.

Palm Trees Nail Art

Hello!
Today I wanted to show you this awesome palm trees nail art. I love how cute the pastel sunset looks. I got the idea from this video tutorial by Yoko Nail Art. I highly recommend her channel. She does really cute nail arts and her tutorials are always easy to follow. It's in french but you can probably understand just by looking at the video.
The polishes I used are 442 (light blue) and 444 (light purple) by HEMA and 'Pink Macaroon by H&M. I hope you like this nail art and have a great day!

Tropical Leaves Nail Art

Hello friends!
Today's nail art is a tropical leaves pattern. I've seen tons of clothing with tropical leaves lately and it inspired me to do a nail art. I really love how this turned out and I think it's perfect for summer. I used HEMA 851 (black) and a green from Kelly Brook (sold at New Look) which is simply the most awesome color ever. I usually think a bit before I buy nail polish because I already own quite a lot of them but I bought this one as soon as I saw it. The design itself is pretty self-explanatory. It takes a bit of time but it's quite easy. I hope you like this nail art,

Donut Nail Art

Hi!
Remember my ice cream nail art? Well I am back with more food themed nails with some sweet donuts! I think this design is super cute and fun. I used HEMA 809 (white) and 842 (turquoise), Angelica "Iced Sorbet" (beige/light orange), Kiko 288 (pink) and the yellow is from the brand Kelly Brook sold at New Look. Will you be painting donuts on your nails soon?

Doc Martens inspired Nail Art

Hello!
Today is a nail art post. It's a floral pattern with a black background. It's kind of inspired by DocMartens. This is one of my favorite nail arts I ever made. I always love floral patterns and I love the contrast between the black and the cute pink flowers. Also, little tip for your floral manis: it's all about the leaves! You could just do a simple pink dot but if you add some leaves, it's automatically a flower.  I used HEMA 851 (black), 844 (dark green), a pink from the brand P.S. by primark and some white (HEMA 809) to create lighter colors for more dimension. I hope you like this design.

She makes awesome step by step tutorial and her designs are always beautiful. I used HEMA 809 (white) and 731 (blue). The black is acrylic paint. I hope you like it and wish you an awesome day.

Black and White Herringbone Nail Art

Hi!
I hope you are having a wonderful day. Today I wanted to show you a really cool nail art I made recently. It's a geometric black and white pattern. I've been loving all things geometric and b&w lately so a nail art was going to happen eventually. I chose to do a herringbone pattern. It was a bit tricky and long but I managed to do it. Also, that's why I only did an accent nail. Doing several of these would take several days I think! And I would have been incapable of recreating that design with my left hand so the accent nail is a really good trick.
My base and top coats and the white polish are from HEMA and the blue polish is from New Look (Kelly Brook).
To do the herringbone pattern, I started off by drawing 2 vertical lines and then I did smaller parallel lines in between. After that, I filled in some places with white (several coats were needed) and filled the rest with black acrylic paint. This picture really helps to understand the steps. I hope you like this nail art and tell me if you recreate it!

Colorful Leopard Nails

Hi!
Today I am back with nail art with this really cute colorful leopard pattern. I got the idea of making it colorful  from Caroline at Burkatron. Her version also had a colorful base but I really wanted to try this nude shade I bought from Primark. I had never bought a nude polish before because I found them boring but I actually really like it and it's not boring if I add nail art! So the technique is really simple but I feel like I get better at it every time. This time I used black acrylic paint instead of nail polish and that was so much easier. The polishes I used were 442 (blue) and 804 (pink) from HEMA and the yellow one is from New Look by the brand Kelly Brook but doesn't have a name.
I hope you like this design and I wish you an awesome day.

Elsa's Faves: Previous Nail Art

Hi,
I decided to start a regular column where I show you stuff that I like called Elsa's Faves. As you know, I recently moved my blog. I'll be honest, there is stuff on my old blog that I am happy to separate myself from as the quality doesn't match up to my new standards. But I didn't want my favorite nail arts to be completely lost and forgotten. So I decided to show you the ones I am still proud of.

I did these ikat nails a long time ago and I still like them 100%.

This little cupcake I did for my birthday last year is adorable.

This pineapple nail art is a favorite of mine especially because I thought of it on my own.

And I really liked this "femme fatale" look that I did with classic red roses. I hope you liked this little trip down memory lane and have a nice day.

Cute Floral Nail Art

Hello!
I am very excited to bring you the first real post on this blog today! It is a super cute and simple floral manicure and I think it's absolutely perfect for spring. I actually recreated the design from Paulina's Passions, which is a nail art blog I really love. If you're looking for pretty and creative nail art, check it out. Her version was a lot more chic with a pastel pink base color but I decided to make it a bit different so I used a more vibrant pink and made the flowers not as regular/aligned. I also changed up the size of the dots. I hope you like this nail art and good-bye!
